Botanical Printing on Silk Workshop

In this fun, hands-on 3.5-hour workshop, students will join Rhode Island artist, Diane Harrison of Tesu Textiles to learn the basics of botanical printing on fabric using seasonal winter flowers and foliage. Learn how to transfer pigments from flowers and foliage onto silk fabric to reveal their beautiful colors, textures, and patterns. Students will each print a dupioni silk scarf.

This workshop will give students the knowledge to continue experimenting with botanical printing on fabric or garments on their own. No previous experience is necessary. All materials will be provided. Please dress in clothes that you don’t mind getting a little messy. The workshop is limited to only eight students, so sign up early to reserve your space!
